The Winstel laboratory at the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen (Germany) focuses on the pathogenesis of medically important bacterial pathogens including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). We now seek a Ph.D. student who will have the opportunity to study host-microbe interaction and the design of novel therapeutic strategies within interdisciplinary projects that combine bacteriological, genetic, computational, and analytical approaches as well as disease-mimicking tissue culture systems and in vivo models.
