Our FACS Core Facility delivers advanced flow cytometry services for precise cell analysis and sorting, supporting a variety of research needs. Our specialized team provides expert guidance and cutting-edge technology to ensure accurate and reliable results. With high-precision instrumentation, we facilitate groundbreaking research across multiple disciplines.

We provide high throughput cell separation and analysis tools to address cell-cell interaction networks at high resolution up to single cell level in acute, chronic, and malignant lung diseases, with a focus on macrophage reprogramming into functional phenotypes and their interaction with parenchymal lung cells impacting disease outcome. Technologies include FACS analysis (BD FACSCanto^TM, BD LSRFortessa^TM) and MACS/FACS-based cell separation (Miltenyi autoMACS® Separator; BD cell sorter: FACSAria^TM III, BD FACSMelody^TM, BD FACSDiscover^TM S8), allowing bulk, single cell, plate, as well as index sorting for downstream applications such as sc/snRNA sequencing techniques (10x Genomics Chromium and Bio-Rad Droplet Digital^TM Sequencing (ddSEQ^TM) platforms), cell culture including organoid cultures, for analysis of cells from in vitro/ex vivo cultures, from circulating cell pools, and from complex healthy and diseased murine/human lung tissues.

Our BSL-3 Laboratories offer a secure, high-containment environment designed for advanced research on infectious agents and high-risk pathogens. Equipped with state-of-the-art safety measures and supported by expert staff, our facility ensures rigorous standards for virology, immunology, and disease prevention research.
